Assist. Prof. of Gastroenterology at UMF and she develops her clinical professional work within the Clinical Municipal Hospital. PhD in medical sciences, and she has a teaching and educational activity with the students of Internal Medicine and Semiology. The research activity, is related to gastroenterology, metabolic syndrome, fatty liver, hepatitis C, especially the noninvasive methods for liver fibrosis assessment and steatosis assessment. Recently, a new domain of interest was added to the former experience, meaning metabolomics and Raman spectroscopy, with applicability in digestive and non-digestive cancers. She published 56 scientific papers of which 38 in ISI journals (18 as main author), 30 presentations as lecturer at national and international congresses, 33 posters and was awarded with 9 prices for the scientific work performed. She is a member of the Review Board for 4 ISI journals and she has worked in 3 research national projects. She published 24 book chapters. She is a member of scientific and professional societies: Romanian Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology (SRGH), European Society for the Study of the Liver (EASL) and she is a founding member in the Interdisciplinary Task Force For Aplicated Hepatology. She has completed multiple training stages abroad: in Hepatology, at Pisa, Italy (2010) and in gastrointestinal endoscopy in Milan, Italy (2012). She has competence in gastrointestinal endoscopy, in medical abdominal ultrasound and vascular ultrasound and in elastography. She has extensive experience in: liver pathology (especially metabolic and viral diseases); metabolic syndrome; noninvasive assessment of fibrosis and steatosis; abdominal ultrasound; gastrointestinal endoscopy.

Computer science specialist, PhD in medicine, working in medical education environment with 19 years of experience in teaching, Medical Informatics and Biostatistics and Medical Research Methodology. Expertise in the interdisciplinary research methods, medical education and medical informatics and also to find IT instruments suitable to be use in different medical related areas. He succeeded to develop and to implement them in the university, still being in use, to help the professionals in this area (IT system for the management of the didactical activity of the Department of Medical Informatics and Biostatistics, three on-line instrument for administrative purposes: choosing the elective courses, requesting accommodation in University’s hostels and managing the study guides). He has successfully collaborated with several interdisciplinary national and international research teams and participated in 6 national and 3 international projects. Metrics: 51 publications and 3 books.

She develops her didactic and professional activity within the Clinical Municipal Hospital. The research activity is related to the cardiotoxicity of neoplasms, metabolomics and Raman spectroscopy, with applicability in digestive and non-digestive cancers.
